You Don’t Have To Spend A Lot Of Money To Get Healthier

By Changing A Few Things, You Can Start To Feel Better

Are YOU ready?

Get Active:  Start by doing a few minutes of exercise per day.  It could be walking outside, doing some simple exercises, using a treadmill or elliptical machine, if you have one…..just something to get moving.  Then add a bit more each day. You will see how much you can advance in a short month. Of course, always make sure you consult your doctor before attempting any kind of exercise. I know that we can all find excuses why not to exercise! This morning, I was tired since I hadn't slept much last night.  My 2 little fur-kids began to 'woof' at me. That is their way of letting me know they want to go out.

So, I packed a lunch, water bottle and umbrella and we went out! It felt so good!

Here we are, taking a break before heading home.

We walked 4 miles! My poodle is 9 years old, a cancer survivor, had a knee replacement and has a heart murmur! If she can walk….

Achieve and Attain A healthy Weight:  So many people are either overweight or obese. You can lose weight and keep it off without breaking the bank! I found something that worked for me and I feel it has made my life so much better.  It provided the help I needed by curbing my cravings! -  A.C.T. Drop-IT Weight Management Drops.

Eat Healthy:  You can start by cleaning out the fridge and cupboards of unhealthy foods.  Just imagine what a difference if you didn't eat that cake, chips, ice cream or drink that soft drink!  Making a few changes like this can help you towards a healthier lifestyle.  If you've got cravings, I understand! So did I! I needed a little help with that and found it with A.C.T. Drop-IT Weight Management Drops.

Know And Control Cholesterol Levels:   High blood cholesterol can lead to the build up of fatty deposits in your arteries − increasing your risk for heart disease and stroke.  See your doctor to have your cholesterol level checked. It can save your life.

Know And Control Blood Pressure:  High blood pressure is often called the 'silent killer' because it has no warnings or symptoms.  I know, I had a stroke just 3 months ago! My blood pressure was high but I did nothing about it! I was one of the lucky ones since it was a small stroke. NOW, I am taking meds to lower my BP. I give thanks every day that I am still here and able to enjoy life. Some people don't get a second chance. I did!

Take Action!  I got my 'warning' 3 months ago! I now visit my doctor, eat well, exercise, take my BP every day, and share my experience with others.

I've also learned that we are responsible for what we do and do not do.  I no longer blame my room mate for bringing in unhealthy foods into our apartment. It is my choice to put it in my mouth or not! I also stopped finding excuses for not exercising.  If you are healthy enough to exercise, then please do so! Not for anyone but for yourself!

I am offering to share what I've learned, with you. Have any questions? Just ask!

''I'm not telling you it's going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it!''

Wishing you an amazing day!

Much love,

Alexandra McAllister

Oh, I’ve heard that excuse so many times…about not being able to exercise because they couldn’t afford to go to a gym or classes etc. ONE can begin at home with just a few minutes per day. I know that when we get used to a little bit of exercise, we want to do more. Also, having a simple, affordable & healthy product to help with cravings, helps a lot as well. Glad I found it and love to share.

Love your advice to KNOW your body–pay attention to how we feel and our numbers and our true condition.  We can't change what we don't acknowledge!  Great advice!

Yes, even a minute or two per day adds up at the end of the month. It is healthier than sitting and watching TV for hours on end!

Great reminders Alexandra!  I gained too much weight too fast in college and it resulted in me having high blood pressure…at 22!  Since then I have lost the weight and changed my eating and have it under control and back on the low end of the scale.  This is something I have to constantly be aware of.

Thanks for sharing this, Mandy! Yes, staying healthy is the key…after the weight is shed. It can be done, I know it. You are a perfect example!

I'm thankful you are here to share these healthy weight loss tips Alexandra. My husband had high blood pressure and thankfully he was able to catch it in time. Controlled to a degree with meds he has since been able to eliminate the oxidative stress in his body with my secret and his doctor has taken him off of the high blood pressure medicine. His blood pressure is now better than it's ever been and he feels better, too. Keep walking and sharing you inspire me girl.

Alexandra, great post with simple tips most can live with. Knowing that if  you can do it all can consider it.  Your furries are so blessed to have such a mom as you who takes them on "long" walks in their stroller. Wow.  Listening to our body is so key.  Knowing when to move fast and when to slow down.  Look forward to more amazing posts by you.

The best way to feel better, is to do something – anything – that truly feels a little bit better than what you feel right now. The larger picture of weight loss or getting healthy can be daunting – but it can be achieved one little step at a time. Thanks for the reminder!

Great reminders here to keep yourself in check. Also that we choose what we eat. Sure, it is unfair to be surrounded by temptation when someone knows we have changed our eating patterns, but ultimately if we care enough about ourselves, the choice remains easy.

So true Alexandra, you don't have to spend much money at all to be healthy.  Exercise can be free and eating right is definitely cheaper than eating wrong.  As you say, the key is to just take action and get started!
